More Search Engine Goodness

Posted by Peter on March 31st, 2007

I know I recently shared with you some of the random searches that led to my site because of March Madness, but since it’s now the end of March, I thought perhaps that I would share with you some of the other search queries that led to my site in the last three months, some random, some not (in order of popularity). Hang on . . . some of these are really good.

  • lord i have shut the door lyrics - granted, that’s not so random, but apparantly several people found my previous posts with those lyrics in it handy.
  • jesse tree ornament templates - OK. I don’t even know where to begin with that one. What’s even better, this search phrase came up not once, not twice, but 3 times.
  • peter anglea - that’s my name, don’t wear it out.
  • variations on a shepherds;s tune - that’s what happens when you type too fast. You’ll miss the apostrophe.
  • bju online - you might find bju.edu a bit more helpful
  • phillip kliewer blog - phil’s a good friend of mine and apparantly he has some fans. Unfortunately, however, he is not to be found here…
  • peteranglea - again, that’s my name, don’t wear it out.
  • lux aurumque midi - I don’t think a midi file would do that song justice, do you?
  • how to pronounce anglea - perhaps from a befuzzled telemarketer.
  • loan - very odd indeed
  • cars - this is also very odd
  • anglea lebanon - that’s where I live.
  • john & betty stam photos - sorry, nothing here. Just a promotional poster and a wallpaper for a related drama.
  • the most relaxing piano album in the world ever download - I recommend the actual CD
  • faye lopez - I am honored.
  • dominoes - hmm….
  • lux aurumque midi file - you again??
  • lux aurumque - midi - nope, that won’t work either
  • eric whitacre - lux aurumque - midi - try again.
  • eric whitacre lux midi - I commend you for your persistence.
  • eric whitacre practice midi files - ok, so he’ll go for anything…
  • religious background in lux aurumque - unable to find an acceptable midi file, our searcher returns seeking divine enlightenment on the latin text…
  • lyrics lux aurumque - what is it with you??
  • oldsmobile - you’d have to pay me to take one
  • theme and variations piano - I wrote one of those
  • loch lomond musical variations - I wrote one of those too
  • modal piece - I’m working on one of those
  • happy birthday advanced piano - I wasn’t aware that one could turn happy birthday into an advanced arrangement
  • joan pinkston ill - she has been recently, in fact
  • dan kreider - again, I am honored
  • midi whitacre - man……
  • steinway m grand piano blog - whoa. I’ve got a blog, but I sure wish I had a steinway m
  • stephen layton - once more, I am honored. Extremely honored.
  • lyrics cloudburst eric whitacre - go away.
  • www - interesting
  • epsilon zeta chi bju - Hoooooooo Z!!
  • when david heard whitacre midi - what do I look like, a jukebox?!
  • lebanon bologna drop - great fun, that.
  • how much is it for a designer to design my hall for my birthday party? - this one wins the award for the longest-most-random-and-totally-pointless-not-to-mention-stupid search.

I am amazed. What can I say?

A Friend’s Website

Posted by Peter on March 30th, 2007

I was recently made aware of Sam Arnold’s website/blog (a good friend of mine). You remember him . . . he aided me in Advanced Harmony by playing my Original Theme & Variations (violin and piano) in class with me (see previous post). Anyways, he plays the violin, he is also a Church Music major, and he’s a pretty good photographer, too.

Check him out.

For This Cause

If you’re a student or faculty member on Bob Jones campus, or plan to be on campus this coming Saturday, make plans to see . . .

For This Cause - a drama by David H. Robey

Missionaries John and Betty Stam gave their all, even their own lives, to serve Christ in China. Come witness their story at the Spotlight on Missions this Saturday, March 31st, from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in Stratton Hall. Admission is free.

(and afterwards, you can hop right over to mounty’s recital)

Here is some artwork that I made for the play in PDF format. Also, if you’re really interested, here’s a limited edition For This Cause desktop wallpaper (1024×768).

Search Engine Madness

Posted by Peter on March 25th, 2007

Unless you’ve been living in a box for the last few weeks, you know that the biggest thing going on right now in sports is the NCAA Men’s Basketball Division I Championship (or March Madness). You may also know that I sponsored an online bracket contest for faculty, staff, and students at BJU for a Bible Conference fundraiser. Having an online bracket contest on my website dramatically increased the search engine traffic this month. Here are some of the wild searches (in order of popularity) that I never thought would have led to my site.

  • fill out your bracket online
  • fill out a bracket online
  • fill out bracket online
  • bju online
  • fill in your bracket online
  • online fill in 2007 ncaa brackets
  • online bracket to fill and send
  • fill out ncaa brackets online
  • ncaa filled in online bracket
  • online march madness bracket
  • fill in brackets online
  • fill out brackets online
  • fill out online ncaa brackets
  • fill in the bracket online
  • last night madness midi file (I dunno about that one)
  • fill in ncaa bracket online
  • fill out your brackets online
  • fill brackets online
  • ncaa brackets fill in online
  • online marchmadness brackets
  • ncaa bracket able to fill out online
  • fill in online bracket
  • fill out a ncaa bracket online
  • ncaa brackets online fill in
  • brackets ncaa fill in online
  • online bracket to fill out
  • online brackets to fill out
  • march madness 2007 bracket complete

Pretty sweet, huh? So whether they wanted to fill in a bracket or fill out a bracket, find an online bracket or a bracket online, apparantly my site garnered quite a bit of traffic regardless.
